Do you have tons of stationary and have no idea what to do with it all? Here’s how I organize all my planner supplies for easy access!
As someone who loves all things planning, I of course invest in a ton of supplies. My love of bullet journals and bullet journaling keeps me occupied!
The problem comes when I want to actually use these different items, but have no idea where they are.

Are you looking to keep a bunch of planner supplies and stationary but need help organizing and utilizing your storage space? Here’s a sneak peek at my office space and how I keep all my pens, markers, and other accessories organized for easy access!

In my desk drawer
I have one specific desk drawer for my planner supplies. I make the best use of my storage space by using little baskets to keep everything sorted.

Colored pencils
I use my colored pencils a lot when tracking things in my planner. And I don’t use them for coloring, so I only have the basic colors.
I keep these in a small basket so I can just pull them out whenever I need to use them. By the way, Dollar Tree is a great way to get drawer organizers on a budget!

Markers
Now, markers are what I use to color! I also use them for outlining charts and things in my planner. My favorite are these Crayola markers because they have fine tips and are perfect for coloring small spaces.
I have a slightly larger basket to put these in; but as you can see, it’s overflowing a bit. It doesn’t bother me enough to buy a bigger basket, so it works just fine for me.

Washi tape and planner materials
Every time I plan out my week, I get out washi tape, a couple markers, a pen, a ruler, sticky notes, and a permanent marker.
Sometimes I do my planning at my desk. Other times I’ll sit on the living room floor and spread everything out so I can see it all better.
Since I tend to travel with all these supplies, I figured it’s a good idea to put them all in one basket. It’s super convenient to just grab this little thing and carry it from room to room. Since all I need is in there, I don’t have to worry about forgetting something and breaking my focus to get it from the next room.

Paper clips and other supplies
In another drawer, I have a larger divided desk organizer that has paper clips, rubber bands, and pins. I don’t use these as often as the other supplies, so I keep them in another drawer that’s more out of sight.

Stickers
I LOVE using stickers in my planner! The majority of them I transferred into this cute box from Hobby Lobby.
One of my ADHD problems is “Out of sight, out of mind”. So if my stickers aren’t right in front of me, I’ll forget to use them. That’s why they sit on my desk, right next to my planner.

Pen holder
This is where I keep scissors, other small stationary items, and my collection of pens I’m not currently using but want them close by. I like having a tidy desk, and having all these grouped together really helps with the clutter.
This is just a cute little holder from Dollar Tree, with a whiteboard space to write on. As you can see, my daughter likes to prank me by drawing all over it.
Paper basket
I’ll sometimes have important documents that need put somewhere temporarily. Or maybe I just want to make my desk look more cleared off, so I’ll put my planners in there too.
This little desktop organizer is great because it keeps all the paper clutter in one place so I can sort through it later.
Where to get organizing supplies
Honestly, the first step is to see what you already have at home! Your supplies don’t have to match or be color-coordinated. They just have to work for your brain.
That being said, you can find a lot of these cheap storage containers and other supplies at different places:
- Dollar store
- Thrift store
- Office supply store, like Staples
- Any store that sells craft supplies

How I organize my desk
I actually wrote a post on easy ways I organize my own desk to work with my ADHD brain. It’s part of my journey to office organization and it’s helped me so much!
Here’s how I organize my desk to find what I need!
Final thoughts
Having storage solutions for all these supplies creates a lot of freedom in my brain. My office area is clear, which helps me focus better. And my desk top has a lot of space where I can spread out my supplies and easily get to work!
Hopefully you now have ideas for your own stationary organization. Whether you only have a small area of a desk or no desk at all, you can find some sort of solution!
