Do you have a huge collection of planner stickers? Here’s how I organized all of mine into one convenient system!
What’s one piece of advice you hear a lot if you have ADHD?
“Why don’t you just use a planner?”
I’ve seen this quite often. And it doesn’t work for everybody. But writing things down can make a huge difference when trying to stick to a routine!
Since I run a business, I always keep a planner around to track my monthly goals and make daily to-do lists. And to keep things fun, I use a lot of stickers and washi tape to decorate my pages!
My issue became apparent after buying pack after pack of stickers. My small collection of stickers became unmanageable, and I couldn’t find what I wanted and then got overwhelmed.

I needed an easy way to organize and then find the stickers I wanted. And this post will show you exactly what I used and how I did it! If you’re looking for a new storage solution, keep reading to get all the details.

The before
This is where I used to store my stickers. They were stuffed way in the back of my desk drawer, and they were honestly hard to get to. I had to pull out my baskets to reach all of them.
And with my ADHD brain, these stickers didn’t exist because they weren’t in plain sight. And if I don’t see them, I don’t use them!
There was no sticker organization whatsoever. I had to flip through each page to find what I wanted, and that was not a good use of my time.
What I used
I searched both Target and Hobby Lobby for ideas. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted, although I had ideas for binders and boxes.

Finally, at Hobby Lobby I found these cute photo boxes. The smaller ones were perfect for stickers, and I’m a sucker for anything pink and cute. It’s a simple idea and I thought it might work!
Now I needed a functional way to sort them. I tried looking for little divider cards but couldn’t find any. But then I saw this package of cardstock and realized the papers fit almost perfectly in the box. And, of course, they were in cute colors.
These two together cost about $10.00, but I have tons of cardstock left so I can use those for other projects.
To make the dividers, I cut the papers down to fit inside the box, then cut a little more to make DIY divider tabs. And with a permanent marker, I wrote the categories I was going to use.

How I organized the stickers
I have a pretty huge sticker collection. And I didn’t realize how big until I started separating them!
My first step was figuring out what categories my stickers fit in, and then writing them on sticky notes and placing them on the floor to start organizing.

Here are the categories I used:
- Days/Dates
- Planning
- Phrases
- Numbers/Letters
- Decorative
- Blank
- Holidays
- Appointments
- Checklists
- “Me time”
- Home
- Fun
There are plenty of other different categories to sort into, but this is what made sense for me.
Since most of my stickers were on sheets, I had to cut them out and place them in the appropriate categories. This took about 30 minutes, but I listened to an audiobook to get two things done at once.

The after
This is what it looks like now! I can file through the separate sections to find what I need, and the box can sit right on my desk in plain view. Now I actually use the stickers instead of just letting them sit, and the box doesn’t take up a lot of space!
The one con I see about this is that the small stickers can slip through the dividers and get mixed up. An accordian-style divider wouldn’t have this problem, although I don’t know if I could find one that fits this box.
Besides that, I’m super happy with how it turned out!
Other sticker storage ideas
You don’t have to use a photo box to store stickers! There are so many different ways:
- Receipt organizer
- Index card holder
- Mini binder– Using sheet protectors to store the loose stickers. Also good for storing sheets of stickers.
- Regular binder- Use a hole punch in scrapbook paper that’ll fit in the binder rings, and use washi tape to keep the sticker sheets in place.
- Photo albums- Use clear plastic sleeves to organize and store stickers.
- Other small storage boxes of various sizes
- Paper towel holders for the sticker rolls. That’s seriously a genius idea!
You can find most of these at your local craft store, or even a container store. You can get as fancy or simple as you want!
Where to find planner stickers
Seriously, a person could go crazy with all the options out there. I’m a sucker for planners AND stickers, so I have to be careful with how I spend my money.

Here are some places I’ve seen them (and some I’ve used):
- Dollar stores: Dollar Tree has a really good selection at times! They come with 2-4 planner sticker sheets of different sizes and styles.
- Bloom planner stickers: I’ve used Bloom planners and they’re great! And their stickers are super cute. I feel like they’re a smaller size than some of the others, but good for small planners.
- Erin Condren: These are really expensive but so cute. And they’re made to go with those planners, too.
- The Happy Planner: I see these Happy Planner stickers at Hobby Lobby, and they are kind of expensive. But there are a huge number of designs.
- Amazon: Honestly, what CAN’T you find on Amazon? This is where I get the majority of my stickers, and I try to just find the best deals.
Final thoughts
The best way to organize stickers is what works for you! I gave you my idea and showed a few other examples, but there is no perfect solution. Do what gives you easy access and what makes sense for your brain.
