Looking to organize your coffee station? Here’s how I utilize my small kitchen space for a simple but effective coffee area!
Are you a huge coffee lover like I am?
It’s incredibly hard for me to function without a cup of coffee first thing every morning. My morning routine consists of coffee, prayer, exercise, and work.
My husband’s more of a hot tea person, and he’s pretty much the same way. Caffeine is a must every morning for us, and it certainly helps if everything is in one place for easy reach.
Do you have a small kitchen like we do? We don’t even have a dining room; we cook and eat right in the kitchen.
I’d love to have my own bar cart for all the coffee supplies, but that’s just not going to happen in this house. I have to make do with what I have!

This coffee and tea station is simple and functional. It doesn’t take up a ton of countertop space and it’s easy to get to! Let me go into more detail on my setup and show you how I make it all work, for both a coffee drinker and tea drinker.

My fancy setup: The kitchen countertop
This is not the most amazing setup, but it’s functional for my kitchen! I have everything I need right in this one area for easy access. And all the coffee mugs and travel mugs are in their own dedicated space in the top cabinet right above. So for us, this is the best place for our organized coffee station.
Coffee-Making supplies I use
Coffee maker
This coffee machine is perfect for my ADHD brain. It’s the Hamilton Beach FlexBrew. And one side has a coffee pot, while the other side is for single-brew cups.
The best part? This one has a timer function. Every evening, I fill up the one side with water, prep the coffee grounds, and press the “PROG” button. It’s set to start brewing at 4:00 every morning, so I wake up to a fresh pot of morning coffee!
Decision fatigue is no joke. And when I wake up in the mornings, I want decisions to be as easy as possible. So having a programmable coffee pot takes away a few decisions and steps to make my day go more smoothly.

Stackable shelf
Stackable shelves are a life-saver! If you have limited counter space like I do, you want to maximize whatever storage space you have. And vertical storage really helps.
This shelf lets me put the coffee/tea materials on the top shelf, while leaving the bottom for miscellaneous storage like tea boxes and tissues.
Mine came in a two-pack, and I use the other one on the other side of the kitchen for some of my fresh produce!

Small basket
This is just a simple small basket where I store the things we use every day:
- Coffee filters
- Tea bags
- Hot chocolate packets
- Other small items we might need
I try to keep it fairly tidy, so we can easily see and reach what we need.

Small bowl for sweetener packets
I got this little bowl as a gift and realized it was the perfect size for a box of Stevia packets! It sits right up on the stackable shelf with the basket.

Storage container for coffee
Most of the ground coffee I buy comes in a bag. And this might sound silly, but I dread having to open up the bag every time I want to make coffee. Because I have to roll the top open, get the coffee, and roll the bag back down again.
Now I use one of these food storage containers that came in a set, and it’s really helped! The coffee stays fresh because it’s an airtight container, and it’s also easily stackable.
Also, pro tip: Don’t bother with labels on these storage containers unless you really need them. This has said “Half caff” for over a year and I haven’t even used half caff since then. And I never bother to take it off. Classic ADHD, right?

K-Cup storage
I honestly don’t use K-Cups much anymore, so this stays almost empty quite often. But this coffee pods storage was incredibly useful for awhile! It rotates on its stand and it’s skinny, so you can fit it in small spaces.
So what do you think? Does this look doable, even with a small space? Having your own coffee station can make you feel super fancy, even if it’s a simple setup like mine. And it’s a great way to feel somewhat organized on busy mornings when your coffee is ready to go.
