Do you have a ton of cleaning supplies and want them all in one spot? Here’s how I organized all of mine using a rolling cart!
Cleaning is not my strong suit. I’ll get excited about starting a new routine, but that excitement quickly fades after a couple weeks and I’m back to square one.
I have a lot of different cleaning supplies and really wanted to get them in one centralized spot, so I wouldn’t have to go hunting for all of them.

Enter: A rolling cart! This thing has changed my life recently, and I wanted to showcase why I bought it and how it helps me in my weekly cleaning tasks.

Why get a rolling cart?
My house has two bathrooms, both at complete opposite ends of the house.
On the days I clean the bathrooms, here are the steps I used to take:
- Grab the cleaning supplies from under the sink
- Grab the cleaning cloths from the laundry room
- Clean the first bathroom
- Take 2 or 3 trips carrying all the supplies to the next bathroom
- Clean the second bathroom
- Take 2 or 3 trips returning the cleaning supplies
- Take 2 or 3 trips putting dirty cloths in the hamper
I broke it all down because with ADHD, I get completely overwhelmed by all the steps. And then I just stop cleaning the bathrooms.
I was randomly scrolling Instagram and came across Vanesa Amaro, who posts lots of cleaning tips. And I saw one video of her rolling cart, and I instantly knew: That was the thing that would save my sanity.
Okay, maybe not completely. But this time, impulsiveness won. And I was able to store everything I need, right on this cart.
Where to get a rolling cart
You can find them in SO many places, in varying sizes. IKEA has a few, and I’m pretty sure the big stores like Wal Mart and Target sell them.
And of course, Amazon has a ton of different brands. The one I settled on was this SPACEKEEPER Rolling Storage Cart. It has 3 tiers and is relatively small (About 29 inches tall), and it has the functionality I need.
I had to assemble it, and there were no written instructions- only images. But I managed to put it together by myself, which is saying a lot for me!
How I organize my cart

Top shelf
The top shelf is where I keep the cleaners I use most often:
- Dawn Platinum Powerwash
- Sprayway Glass Cleaner
- Mrs. Meyer’s All Purpose Cleaner
- Clorox Scentiva Spray
And then I have a small storage container with the sponges I use most often. I recently became a big fan of Scrub Daddy, so I have multiple sponges, each with a different color for certain areas of the house.
I also want to note: My toilet bowl cleaner actually stays in the bathroom. I have one bottle for each bathroom and they fit under the sink.

Middle shelf
The middle shelf is where I keep all of my microfiber cloth. I don’t use paper towels very much while cleaning, so the entire shelf is full of the cloths.
They’re also color-coded, so I know that specific colors are only used on the toilets, some only on floors, etc.

Bottom shelf
Lastly, the bottom shelf is where I keep disinfectants, fabric freshener, and other supplies I don’t use every time:
- Disinfectant wipes
- Fabric freshener spray
- Disinfectant spray
- A giant tub of hand soap to refill the bottles in the bathrooms

Hooks
There are also multiple hooks around the cart. I hang my duster on one, as well as a small linen bag to hold the dirty cloths when I’m done with them.
I’m so thrilled about this bag, by the way. This one was much bigger than I thought it was; but now I can just throw all the cloths in one place and not worry about traveling from room to room.

Where I store my cart
One problem with a rolling cart is you have to find a place to put it!
Honestly, I’ve been trying to downsize a bit. So adding a big thing like a cart maybe wasn’t the best idea.
HOWEVER. I realized that my cart fits perfectly in the laundry room! It slides right in next to the laundry basket for dirty towels. And it makes sense for me to keep it in there, because that’s my last stop anyway to toss the dirty cloths.
Supplies list
Honestly, you don’t have to get fancy with this! It’s so easy to spend a ton of money on ALL the supplies. But you may be able to fill it with items you already have.
In my opinion, here are the main things you want on your cart:
- All-purpose cleaner
- Disinfectant wipes and sprays
- Duster
- Microfiber cleaning cloths
- Paper towels
- Sponges
- Gloves
- A trash can or linen bag
So what do you think? Would a rolling cart like this be a game changer for you too? Leave a comment and tell me: Do you have something like this, and how has it helped?
